To install Netminers tracking on your site, you need to:
- Add the tracking script provided by Netminers to your CMS html mastertemplate.
- Add the following metatag configured to contain the page breadcrumb in the content field:
<meta name="Netminers.Breadcrumb" content="breadcrumb"/>
You should replace "breadcrumb" with the actual breadcrumb.
A “breadcrumb” in this context is the page's path revealing the location of the page in the website's content hierarchy. The breadcrumb is similar to the page's URL, but must be humanly readable.
An example of a humanly readable breadcrumb is "Frontpage/Products/Cars". It tells us that the page called "Cars" is located under the product section.
This information is used by Netminers InSight to roll up the pages in each level of the page path so that the following type of drill-down report can be presented:
