Netminers Campaign Attribution Once Netminers Campaign Attribution has been turned on, the following will apply:
Time-out period
The association between campaigns and visitors will expire after 30 days' visitor inactivity (the industry standard is 30 days, but this can be adjusted if you like). Let's say a visitor enters through a campaign without converting and then decides not to come back for the next 30 days. In this case, the association between the campaign and the visitor will cease to exist. Thus, if the visitor's next visit is a direct visit, during which he or she converts, then this conversion will not be attributed to any campaign.
Traffic-source priority
If a visitor visits your website through multiple traffic sources, the campaign traffic source will always win. Let's say a visitor starts by entering directly, then through a newsletter and then through an organic search on Google. In this case, the conversion will be accredited the newsletter, since this is the only traffic source which is classified as "Campaign".
Last-entry priority
If a visitor visits your website through multiple campaigns, then it is always the last entry that counts. Thus, If a visitor enters through a banner ad and then through a Google Adword, then the Adword will be accredited the conversion.
