Adform is a tool used by many European media agencies to plan and serve online ads. If your media agency uses Adform, your online banner ads may be tracked automatically by Netminers InSight. For the sake of simplicity, Netminers InSight resolves landing-page-URL tags made for Google Analytics, i.e. UTM-tags. These tags can be auto-generated by Adform by going through the following steps.
- Log in to Adform and create the relevant Banner Tags
- Click on the Auto-Tagging button
- In the section for Google Analytics, select all five check boxes:
- Campaign Source (utm_source)
- Campaign Medium (utm_medium)
- Campaign Term (utm_term)
- Campaign Content (utm_content)
- Campaign Name (utm_name)
- Under Inherit Values From, fill in the appropriate parameters for each of the five check boxes
- Click Submit and Save
Your banner ads will now be tracked automatically by Netminers InSight.
Note: More than one Banner Tag may be selected when Auto Tagging is configured. However there is no way in Adform to make a general selection to ensure that Auto Tagging is always on for every new Banner Tag made. Thus it is of great importance to check the auto-tagging options manually every time a new Banner Tag is made in Adform.
