If you use Google AdWords, you don't have to add tracking parameters manually to your landing-page URLs. Netminers InSight can do this automatically and will even pull AdWords data dynamically into your dashboards. As you create new AdWords, these are automatically included in your dashbaords.


  1. First you must email your Google AdWords Customer ID to support@netminers.net.
  2. Netminers Support will then request Google to grant access to your account.
  3. You inform Google that access may be granted and the integration starts.

How Google Adwords Auto-Tagging Works:


Once you have granted access, Netminers Adword Integration will add tags to the active URL landing pages that you (or your media agency) have created within the Google Adwords interface. Netminers tagging is done according to the following syntax:


_np_c=ga,t={ifContent:c}{ifSearch:s},c={creative},k={keyword},p={placement}


Let's say you have added the following landing page URLs through the Adwords interface:

  • www.mywebsite.com
  • www.mywebsite.com/landingpage.aspx
  • www.mywebsite.com/landingpage.aspx?page=123


Netminers Adwords Integration will now transform these links to:

  • www.mywebsite.com/?_np_c=ga,t={ifContent:c}{ifSearch:s},c={creative},k={keyword},p={placement}
  • www.mywebsite.com/landingpage.aspx? _np_c=ga,t={ifContent:c}{ifSearch:s},c={creative},k={keyword},p={placement}
  • www.mywebsite.com/landingpage.aspx?page=123&_np_c=ga,t={ifContent:c}{ifSearch:s},c={creative},k={keyword},p={placement}

When a visitor clicks on one of these links in an Adword, Google will replace some parts of the tag with information about the campaign. As such, the visitor might experience the URL as:
