You can add multiple subscriber groups to the same email report and apply unique filters to each group. The filters take effect at the moment of distribution so that content of the report adapts dynamically to the group.
The big advantage of this is that the maintenance becomes much easier. Instead of creating a new report for each subscriber group, you only need to maintain a single report. If, for example, you just want to change a specific chart in the report, you only have to do this a single place.
If you want to work with multiple subscriber groups, you should first of all configure the shared settings of the report:
- Add a shared time period to the report such as Last month
- Add any relevant shared filters such as an IP-address filter which excludes your own company's traffic
-
Click New subscriber group and give it a name
- Click Add email and type in the email address of the first member of the subscriber group - repeat this for each member
- Repeat step 1-3 to create multiple subscriber groups
Finally add a distribution frequency and unique filters to each subscriber group:
- Click on the subscriber group
- Apply a dynamic filter to the subscriber group using the filter selector to the right:
