By default, when you expand a node in the tree view with variables the result is unsorted. If the variable you are interested in has many values, then it can be a great help to sort the list so that the values with the most page views comes on top. For example, if you are looking for a specific page such as your home page, it might be easier to find this page if the list of pages is sorted descending by number of page views.
The Select filter page allows you to sort the list either descending by page views or ascending alphabetically.
Here is how you do:
- Click on the name of a segmentation variable so that the variable is highlighted (i.e. it must change to white text on grey background: ). This will enable two buttons for sorting above the tree view.
- Click on to sort the list of segments descending by visits. Alternatively, you can click on to sort the list alphabetically.
Notice that when you click on one of these two sorting buttons, Netminers InSight will remember your choice of sorting method until you select a different method.
