Some segmentation variables have many values. For example, the variable Url has as many possible values as there are pages on your website. To help you find a segment / value under a given variable, the Select filter page allows you to use search.

For example, if you want to filter by a specific page, you can copy the URL of the page and paste it into the search field. Notice, however, that you must first activate the search field by clicking on the variable you want to search, in this case the Url variable.

In general, you can use search in the following way:

  1. Click on the name of a segmentation variable so that the variable is highlighted (i.e. it must change to white text on grey background:  )
  2. Type in a keyword in the search field and hit Enter on your keyboard. The variable will now show a list of segments containing the keyword you entered

In order to remove a search result, simply delete the keyword from the search field and hit Enter again on your keyboard.
